Reflections on Nature:

My new work is inspired by the beauty and rhythm of nature expressed through the four basic elements: fire, water, air and earth.  The elements are not only felt around us, but also express themselves in many ways in our nature.

Fire is hot, untamed, active and passionate.  Air is light, invisible, our breath and inspiration.  Water is refreshing, flowing, changeable, and emotional.  Earth is stable, solid, the ground beneath our feet, our home, our mother.

Because we have originated from nature, we are drawn to come into harmony with the natural beauty that surrounds us.  It is in this relationship that our essence is revealed.

In the "Reflections on Nature" series, the qualities of the four elements are captured through color and texture in oil paintings and fiber wrapped cylinders.

Accompanying each piece is a poetry verse by John O'Donohue, an Irish writer known for his spiritual wisdom and lyrical voice.
