Chico Paper Company

"Chico Street," the final image of a four-piece series of serigraphs celebrating the seasons of the year in Chico. The inspiration for the entire "Chico Seasons" series has it's roots in a walnut tree that lived in my front yard on Arbutus Ave. I had originally considered creating a series of prints of just my tree, showing how it changed season to season. However, as I worked on that idea, it evolved into the four separate images that I think best illustrate the season (wildflowers on Table Mountain, my bicycle at Farmer's Market, Bidwell Mansion in the Fall). I chose to name the piece "Chico Street," because of the walnut orchards on the actual street south of town. ~ Jake
