Local artist Andrew Urlie will be wheel throwing pottery.

The recently retired state park ranger creates pottery that reflects nature's themes. His textured glazes are just as unique as his ceramic designs.

“Volcanic mountains, abundant wildlife, and rich forests are just part of what I love about the Burney area,” Urlie said. “Bears, fish, forest trees, and rough lava textures are common themes in my pottery. They reflect the earthy colors of nature.”

His pieces are a beautiful blend of functional artware.
